Hairgum, Laboratoire Ariland
The Laboratoire Ariland is a French manufacturer mainly renowned for its hair styling and barber products. The products are dedicated to be used by hair professionals but also by end consumers. The laboratory is located in the Rhône-Alpes region since its creation in 1989. Today it’s a team of 18 coworkers who leads the 2 owned brands – Hairgum and K pour Karité – with a same motto: innovation and distribution of qualitative products, with original textures and fragrances. The Laboratoire Ariland gathers all the requested skills and departments to be in total control of the products’ quality, from the R&D to the Quality Control, through Production, Marketing and Design. The Laboratoire Ariland was the first to relaunch the styling wax on the French market, which led then to develop diverse ranges of highly concentrated styling formulas.

Hairgum Origines : the brand is renewing with its origins and designing a short, high-end range, of grooming essentials for men, which is COSMOS certified by ECOCERT.
First Hairgum Hair and Beard Color, dedicated to professionals.
Opening of the first Hairgum Barber-Shop in France. Men’s hair salon and barber service in a boutique featuring the brand’s colors.
Back to the brand’s origins with a new design strongly inspired by the Vintage spirit. Hairgum is the first brand to offer a barber range. It extends its grooming concept with a full range for shaving, with care and styling products as well as a full marketing offer for professionals.
Hairgum is confirmed as a key player on the men’s hair styling market. This year, the little tin went on a world tour, reaching 52 countries worldwide.
The Big One ! Based on the success of its little tin, Hairgum launched biggest tins dedicated to hair salons: the 400g pomade.
Hairgum becomes an international brand, developing business abroad and exhibiting on the Las Vegas Cosmoprof show.
Creation of the company Laboratoire Ariland in France. As a pioneer, the Laboratoire Ariland brings back the hair pomade to the French market: the Hairgum brand is born and quickly becomes a must-have amongst professionals. The iconic little shoe polish tin becomes its flagship.
