SHAPING AND STYLING YOUR MOUSTACHE : INSTRUCTIONS

A too long, thick or non-styled moustache: such a lack of taste! Before cutting and shaping it, give the maximum of length to your moustache. Wait to have it covering the upper-lip edge (roughly 2 weeks).

CUTTING THE HAIR

TOOL

A comb with thin and tight tines

Scissors (small moustache scissors)

Thin clippers

Mirror (magnifying mirror is the best here)

  1. Cut the length: check first how your hair is used to grow (which side the hair go) and shape according to this. To do so, comb the hair up and cut what is over the comb thanks to scissors or clippers (depending on the chosen length and shape). In between of 2 comb-up moves, comb the moustache down. If the moustache remains too thick, start over again bringing the comb closer to the skin.

    2. Shape the moustache: shape the upper-lip edges thanks to the scissors’ tips, leaving a small empty room (roughly 1mm). Pinch your lips to do so if more convenient. Follow the upper-lip edge, starting from the lips corner to the lip center. If you choose to get a more sophisticated moustache shape, give some length to it (roughly 3 weeks) and do not shave the lips corners. Only shape the upper-lip edge without thinning out.

STYLE YOUR MOUSTACHE

After having cut and shape your moustache, apply the moustache wax to give some style and avoid rebellious hair. Warm the wax up in your hands first, and then apply onto the moustache. A very small amount is needed to style the way you wish.
